Just a moment

I just wanted to take a moment to vent a bit. I did not want this blog to be a place to vent, but this information may be helpful to you if you decide to visit London.

If you have been reading my blog you know that I had a little stomach thing due to anxiety. This caused me to not have an appetite basically, my stomach shrunk, and now I trying to make my stomach big again.

Anywho. I finally got really hungry to the point I could eat a chicken sandwich, fries, and chocolate fudge cake...with a Pepsi. Ok. Not the healthiest thing, but dangit I am hungry!

So I ordered from a new place that put a flyer through our mail slot the other day. I ordered the aforementioned items. I received them an hour later. The time is reasonable. They have to cook the food and then drive to get it to me. 1 hour is perfectly acceptable. I unload my goodies and the garlic bread I ordered wasn't there. (yes I ordered garlic bread, too...don't ask why...I just wanted it) AND the chicken sandwich...the chicken was still PINK and basically raw in the middle. Quite annoying when you haven't really eaten much in a week and just want to dig in.

I called the place

"Hi, I just ordered..blah blah blah"

"What?"

"Your chicken is raw."

"What?"

"You didn't cook your chicken properly."

"Ma'am the chicken is put in the machine for 6 minutes. It's done. Next time ask for it to be well done."

"WHAT?! I understand what you're saying, but pink chicken is not edible chicken. It is raw. It does not need to be WELL done. It needs to be done period."

"Ma'am I will give you a free chicken sandwich, chips (fries), and your garlic bread free of charge next time you order. We only have one driver tonight."

"Thank you."

"What's your name?"

"Rachel."

"What?"

"Rachel."

"What?"

"R-A-C-H-E-L."

"Oh. Rye-chil. R-I-C-H-I-L."

"yeah. thanks. bye."

OK. After all that I have had to deal with so far - bank account, our flat problems, etc. - and now this. grr....I get to go to Germany tomorrow!!! I am so excited! Good food :) And people who can do their job efficiently. Not that England does not have efficient people, but geez la-weez. I have been just a little unlucky I guess.

I miss you all so much and hope I get to see you at Christmas! Less than 7 weeks!!!!

In the words of my colorful Auntie Fay, "Praise you Father!" :)

love
