We have officially moved into our new flat, and it is AMAZING!!! I cannot even begin to express fully how great it is. It is in an amazing location, it has just been refurbished with all new appliances and furniture, and we have the nicest landlord...it doesn't hurt that he is quite attractive as well ;) Yes, I believe I may have a little crush. haha
Anyway. I am in awe of how amazing God is with blessing us with such an amazing flat. I have to admit though, that even though I feel incredibly blessed, I have started to wonder why God hasn't answered our prayers about finding replacements for our old flat. We had 3 people between yesterday and today that wanted to see the flat. Both days we went out there, and ALL 3 appointments cancelled for one reason or another. WHY?!?!?! I just don't understand. We have about a week and a half before we have to pay another months rent there. I truly believed we would find replacements before then. John 15:7 "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask what you wish and shall be given to you." I have been abding in Him and His word has become so much more real to me and I have been using it for the sword that it is. Why is He not seeming to hold to His promise? I want to believe that He is going to do it. He has His own timing. I have been praying and there seems to be no results at the moment. I am holding out though. But I need everyone else to pray too. I cannot pay another months rent and I cannot pay the letting agent for finding people. We need to find the replacements so that we do not have to pay a huge fee to the letting agent. I don't have the money to give them first of all and secondly I can't stomach giving them one more cent because of the way they have treated us.
Sorry that this seems to be such a negative post, but I know that there are quite a few of you who read this that pray. We need more prayer. Soon I know this will be a distant memory. I am looking forward to that day :)
Other than that I am doing really well! My flat is awesome, my flatmates rock and my landlord is hot. Can it get any better? haha :) Love you all so much!!!
Oh, I should be getting internet next weekend. So, if you don't hear from me next week, it's because I have no internet.
Cheers!

Untitled II
It's been about 10 days. I thought I would give a quick update. I should have read my last post so that I could relay what has happened since. I feel like so much has happened in the short 3 weeks that I have been here.
Here is basically what's going on at present:
We are moving into our new flat this Thursday (if everyone's wire transfers to the estate agent go through on time). YAY!
We had 2 couples that wanted the flat. We soon found out from our letting agent that according to company policy, 4 people in our flat was way too many bodies. It would be crowded. Obviously the couples that wanted it didn't think so, or they would not want it. And they're the ones that would be living here. Hello. The letting agent e-mailed the landlord to see if he would be okay with 4 people in his flat. We eventually heard back from him. There was a meeting set for Tuesday (tomorrow) with the two couples and our letting agent. I get a call today from the letting agent saying the two couples just told him today that they wanted a 6 month contract. That can't happen becuase we need someone to fulfill the last 9 month of our lease. Great. We are basically at square one. However, the letting agent showed the flat to two very interested people. One of them could work out. I have reposted the flat on a couple of good websites and have already had some responses. We might be showing the flat tomorrow to a couple of people :) I know everything will work out. Just not in my ideal timing. God's timing is always different from ours. Can I get an 'Amen' ? Thanks.
So that't the update. Kendall and I are packing tomorrow. We are also working on our huge Network essays that we have to present soon. On Wednesday we have lecture, I am meeting my Contemporary Photography class at the V&A, and then Kendall and I are going to a 'Me Without You' concert. On Thursday we have a lecture, a visit to see Gilbert & George at Tate Modern, and then we get our keys and move into the new flat!!!!!!! YAY!!!! Amazing amazing week. God is good all the time and all the time God is good :)

Untitled
I decided to make this post 'untitled' because I have feeling I will be making more posts regarding my flat and the new one we are moving into. I can only think of so many "update on flat' titles. I am going to go the contemporary art route and call them all 'untitled I' 'untitled II', etc.
So here is an excerpt from a message that I sent to one of my friends:
'we still have a lot of people interested in looking at the flat. We showed it to another couple today (only our 3rd showing...the first two haven't called back). They seemed extremely interested! They said they had another couple that they would be living with that would want to see the flat Sunday afternoon, but that because they liked it so much they were sure the other couple would, too. And they said they would more than likely go and talk to our letting agent on Monday!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD IS ...... indescribable. I don't even know what to say. 'amazing' doesn't even begin to describe it.'
So there it is. Things are looking wonderful!!! Hope all is well with you. I'll write again soon! :) I am starting to get pretty good at this update thing. Much better than last semester! Or is it too much? It might slow down after all this moving stuff is over, but I will do my best to continue updating. Adios for now!
OH! one more thing. I went to a Chinese restaurant with some friends for lunch the other day. We did this thing called Dim Sum (i think is how you spell it. I know that's the way it sounded anyway). The servers come around with carts loaded with different kinds of food asking if you want 'this' or 'that'. The whole table just shares a bunch of food. All the food was really good and one of our friends can speak Chinese. She lived in China for 3 years and is moving back there when we're finished with school. She talked to the waiters for us. It was awesome. At one point though, when my friend told me what a certain dish was, I looked at the waitress and seriously almost said, 'No gracias.' HAHA Can you believe it? I guess since it's the only other language I somewhat know, I think that if someone doesn't know English they must know Spanish! I did that a few times while I was in Germany last semester, too :) haha anyway. Just thought I would share. Good food, good times, with good friends. London is fun!

Current Flat Situation
So, as of 11:50 pm my time we have had 2 showings of the flat and a handful of e-mails and phone calls to make appointments for this weekend and next week! Tell me God doesn't answer prayer :) Plus, our soon-to-be flatmates Laura and Megan did a lot of research on renter's rights and called our letting agent (pretending to be me) and set them straight. Telling them how they have not upheld their end of the contract concerning the repair work to the water and other things. The letting agent told us that they could not give us the landlord's number. "That is why we are here. To handle complaints." According to renter's rights it is illegal for them to not give us that number. We (well Megan) told them that and told them that we were prepared to take legal action. He seemed really surprised that we had thought to find out this information.
Long story short, the letting agent said they could find replacements in 3 weeks max. If they do we pay them the 860 pounds, but if we find them we pay 50 pounds per applicant. Either way, we are moving!!! They are tired of us evidently. I think they just don't want us to take legal action because we would win. That's why they are going to start showing the place. I hate having to give them one more cent of mine though. I would rather give my money straight to the landlord. We should get his number tomorrow.
So in conclusion: THANK YOU for you prayers. You have no idea how grateful we are. All 4 of us! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I'll keep everyone posted about the flat being filled and us moving into our new place! AHHHH!!!! I am so excited!!! God is amazing!
